ClingExplorer iconCling Explorer is the ultimate file manager application designed for Android.

Cling Explorer was one of the application submitted to Android Developer Challenge 2 (ADC2). Cling Explorer is brought to you by the ClingMobile, where the CEO behind Portable Electronics Ltd is a member who is helping on the design, testing and marketing of this application. This application will come pre-installed in future Android devices sold by Portable Electronics Ltd. It will also be available for download to be installed separately for other Android devices. Volume licensing/customization available for OEMs.

Features

  • View files/folders by List, Icons, Details, Recent items mode
  • Sort files/folders by Name, Type, Size, Date in ascending or descending order
  • Filter by file extension: Music, Images, Videos, Applications
  • Show Media (video/music) information, including ID3
  • Set any music file as phone ringtone
  • Search function
  • Long Click operations -> Open With/Cut/Copy/Paste/Rename/Delete/New Directory/Properties/Create shortcut (desktop)
    • Open with: Pick supported application to open the file (can set default opening application)
    • Create shortcut: Will place a shortcut for that file/folder on the desktop
  • Access files over network shared drives
  • Copy & Paste or type URL to download file to SDcard
  • Able to Open (limited to 10MB) and Extract Zip files
